From Wedding Bells to Dumbbells: A 64-Year-Old’s Fitness Triumph

June 17, 2023 by Michelle Leave a Comment

In this video, we've got something special lined up for you. It’s not about gardening but a tale of fitness and inspiration. Join me as I sit down with my incredible fitness coach, Kim, a 64-year-old dynamo who didn’t let a health scare or age stand in her way.

Kim began her fitness journey at 51, following a life-altering health scare – her husband experienced a TIA (a mini-stroke) that served as a wake-up call.

This fitness triumph story is more than just building muscles; it's about building a healthier life from the ashes of fear and uncertainty.

As a newlywed at the time of her husband's TIA, Kim chose to turn a crisis into a beacon of hope and inspiration. Now, she's not only maintaining her own health but also motivating others to do the same through her role as a fitness coach.

Stay tuned to the end of the video to find out more about how Kim incorporated fitness into her life, went on to train with Bill Phillips, and became one of 12 coaches worldwide certified in Body for Life, a program she credits with saving her life.

In part two of this video (part two coming soon!), we'll demonstrate how to use garden tools with the correct form and show you how to sneak in a bit of exercise while you're out in the garden. You’ll see how Kim and I combine our love for gardening and fitness, making it a win-win situation for health and hobby!
