Garden tour that doesn’t look like the magazines

June 21, 2026 by Michelle Leave a Comment

Take a June garden tour to see how a spontaneous approach to planting can still produce a thriving backyard space. See what is working.

This video offers a candid look at my garden during the month of June. Whether you are a beginner or just looking for realistic inspiration, this tour is for you. I show exactly how my garden beds are progressing, focusing on the realities of spontaneous gardening rather than perfection.

We will walk through the current state of my vegetable gardening setup, specifically looking at how my tomato plants are establishing themselves. I also share the progress of my young sweet potato plants. By watching this June garden tour, you will get a better sense of how different crops grow alongside each other in a casual, home-grown environment. You might find some practical backyard garden ideas that you can easily replicate in your own space, even if your methods are less than formal.

Subscribe for vegetable gardening updates, and let me know in the comments: what is the most successful plant in your garden right now?

About Michelle In The Meadow

I'm growing on a 1/4 acre suburban lot. I started gardening here 6 years ago and am glad you are here.

We have more than 80 individual fruit trees and shrubs and more than a dozen different kinds of annuals growing on this property. The slopes make for some interesting ways to garden, but we're trying to make the best of it.

On the first Sunday evening of each month (7PM Eastern), I go live on YouTube sharing updates and answering your questions.

If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing to follow along on all the happenings in my Northeast Florida Zone 9B Garden. Until next time, my friends, remember to drink plenty of water, wear high-quality sunscreen and have a fantastic day.
